Amaya Papaya is also a great option if you have children under 5 and are looking for a way to get out of the heat or rain (or just want to relax while the kids let off steam!) This is an indoor play place (amayapapaya.com) that has themed play areas (including a large fenced in sand pit, mini trampoline, dress up play, mini slide, train table etc.) as well as tons of manipulables (puzzles, blocks, instruments etc.) My kids love it, and when they were both under three this place was indispensable. Comfy chairs to lounge (or BF)in, free Wi Fi, two bathrooms, an eating area with adult and child size tables/chairs. You can bring your own food and use their fridge and microwave; snacks are also available for purchase. Check out the website as they often have fun groups and special events. They also seem to rotate their toys and I love that they have a lot of wooden toys instead of plastic. There are always special deals and coupons to be used, I ended up buying a membership and it was well used!

There is good advice in here, but vacation homes in orlando can be a lot of fun! You just have to make sure you pick the right one and make sure you have enough money.

Complaint 2 that there is "No Pool Cover" should be ignored.
First, the cost of heating the pool is fixed, it does not go up or down if the renter uses one. I have never seen a renter actually take the time and effort to put on a pool cover.
Second, we did buy a pool cover and ended up throwing it away. It got moldy, started to smell, and a frog cralled into it and died. It also was a mess unless time and effort were used to roll it up properly.

Not true! As a homeschooler I not only love the theme parks but the less expensive things like these as well! Some of the best times I've had with my kids are at places just like these! It's a great idea to get a locals perspective.

Bay bank townhouse is a great option. It is a quite nice and cheap place. In Davenport they are one of the best townhouses i have ever visited.

I actually worked there, and the only amenities you have are electricity and water. There is no cable, it was never run, there is no telephone, it was never run, there is no clubhouse, its just a shell. So you must be in back of the clubhouse smoking mushrooms against the piled up mattresses. Now if you grew up in the ghettos, then this is perfect for you. This is nothing more than ghettos of Polk County.

I actually purchased a townhouse in Island Club West in 2011 and the amenities are awesome. Great clubhouse with all types of gym equipment, huge pool, tennis courts, basketball, volleyball and kiddie playground area. What's not to like??? Also the place is beautiful, the developer is long gone out of the picture and the townhouses(s) do not have any legal issues surrounding it. If it once did; it know longer has any issues now :)

I lived there before and the electric and water bills are whatever the owner wants them to be. He has made over 600 thousand dollars in fees from the owners and I know of a few townhouses that have gone into forclosure because of his unlawful rules. I know a lady that put a reef on her door and was fined 100.00 a day until she removed it and she was also told to take down the camera in her window that was keeping an eye on her car. They add or change the rules every month and I guess this is legal since he owns more than 50% of the vote. I could tell you many things about this place, anyway, I am sure you can read all about it in the Orlando Sentinel.Also , the electric bill cannot be separated from the lockout units and the three bedrooms which is why the owners include the electric bill with the rent. I was in the office when an owner came in saying he paid the 1500.00 water bill to stop him from forclosing on his property and that he has hired an attorney.

I use to work for this guy managing his electrical department. When I left, he turned around and sued me for breach of contract. During my short time there, he must have gone through 20 or so people because they would not do what he wanted. When I found out he was doing illegal installs under my license I pulled it. If I can help, let me know. This guy needs to be blocked from ever doing business again. He even boasted one time that he sues everyone, so there was no point in fighting his arbitration's. ..... I fought it.... He never got a dime from me.
